8 May 1945 - Workshop in the German Bundestag
8 May 2025 marked the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War.
As a state European school, Schiller-Gymnasium and three other SESB schools with French, Polish and Russian as their languages were invited by the German Bundestag to a two-day workshop at the German Bundestag. Pupils from Schiller-Gymnasium's advanced history course in year 11 took part. They analysed the end of the war and the significance of this date for the culture of remembrance. They worked together with pupils from the Robert-Jungk-Oberschule and the Sophie-Scholl-Schule.
