Our spring concert with all of our school's ensembles ended with “99 Luftballons” by Nena - a peace song from the New German wave. The audience was musically enchanted for over two hours beforehand, and a colorful varied program was performed.

The music teachers took everyone back to the beginnings of music history with “Victimae paschali laudes”, the choir sang 4-part harmony songs from different cultures (for example, “Guantanamera” by Jose Marti), the orchestra played compositions such as “Dance of the Knights” from “Romeo and Juliet” by Sergei Prokofiev and film music, and the Jazz-Soul Band performed arrangements of various classics, such as “Sir Duke” by Stevie Wonder.

Additionally, a Waltz composition by a Schiller pupil celebrated its premiere, there were solo contributions, and the Ensemble Course arranged Spring poems in a musically experimental way.

It was a wonderful evening, and truly a “Wish for Spring”: many thanks to all participants!
