Erasmus+ - Nordic education system

We (Ms. Refle and Ms. Gardille) took part in a training course on the Nordic education system during a week in Copenhagen.
Based on the experiences of the Scandinavian countries, we discussed in depth why well-being and performance should be in balance for long-term development to succeed. Failtastic is a keyword that we should live by much more at school and in everyday life: we have to make mistakes in order to learn and failure is part of this. Falling down, getting up, moving on.

The Danish school system places great emphasis on strengthening self-esteem, because a predominant focus on grades and performance is no guarantee of successful lifelong personal development. Among other things, it is important to focus on positive thoughts at school and in everyday life. Lifelong learning with joy only succeeds if everyone knows their Why (Why is something important to me?) and takes responsibility for themselves and their learning. If you enjoy learning thanks to a positive self-esteem and know why you are making an effort, you will achieve better results and smile all by yourself. And the best thing is: everyone smiles in the same language.

Our training was financed by the European Union through the Erasmus+ programme.
