Many universities offer modules or summer academies that can be attended before obtaining the Abitur.

If the courses take place during term time, students can be granted leave from their regular lessons in order to take part in the respective courses. Summer academies usually take place during the school holidays.
Every year, students from the Schiller-Gymnasium take up the offer so that they have the opportunity to exchange experiences.
