The Middle School Years 7-10, is called Sekundarstufe I in Germany. The pupils are taught according to the Berlin curriculum (Rahmenlehrplan), which is divided into three sections: A.  Fundamentals of education  B. Crosscurricular competency training (Language and Media) and C. School subjects. Based on the Berlin curriculum, the school has developed internal curricula for each subject, which set out the principles for content and performance assessment.

Teil C Unterrichtsfächer

Lessons are organized in classes. In Wahlpflichtunterricht or in partitions, this is broken up and classes are mixed. Pupils from different year groups come together in study groups (Arbeitsgemeinschaften).
