Electives supplement the standard curriculum. In years 8 and 9 electives are offered with 3 hours a week. 

In Years 8 and 9 pupils can combine electives from the subjects Science, Art, Music, Italian or Latin. Usually in February, there are information events in which parents and pupils are informed about which choices are possible. Parents are given invitations to these events well in advance.

Electives supplement the standard curriculum. In year 10 electives are offered with 2 hours a week. 

At the beginning of the second term in 9th grade, the pupils choose new electives for year 10.  Two electives are taught, each with two hours a week. Pupils can either continue with a third foreign language or they may choose two new subjects.
