Under the theme of Democracy in Europe, the students engaged in various activities.

The students from Wroclaw and their teachers were guests in Berlin from 17.10.22 to 21.10.22. Among other things, the students visited the Bundestag and were able to participate in a plenary session, with a subsequent discussion with the Member of Parliament Axel Schäfer (member of the Committee for the Affairs of the European Union, member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe). Together with the students from Berlin they explored the city and were also at the Schiller-Gymnasium for a workshop.

The students of the Schiller-Gymnasium visited Wrocław with Ms. Ertürk and Mr. Barnes from 20.03.2023 to 24.03.2023 and participated, among other things, in a workshop on media and democracy and visited an exhibition on Solidarność, a strike movement that played a decisive role in the revolution and reform of 1989.

The exchange is expected to conclude with digital group work at the end of May. 

According to the students' feedback, the highlights of the trip were the interactions with their Polish friends. Many students were able to form close friendships and are still in contact with each other. 

The project was funded by the European Union through Erasmus+. The exchange will take place again in the school year 2023/24, with a new group of students.
