Korean is a unique language. It was invented by scholars 600 years ago. Its writing system, Hangeul, is very original and practical, making it easy for people to read and write.
More and more people around the world are learning Korean. They are not only interested in the language itself, but also in Korean pop culture (K-pop), Korean food, and more.

This club is conducted in English, so you can practice two languages at once!
Who is it for?
Beginners and students with some prior experience in the Korean language.
Instructor: Yihyun Kang
I have been a PhD student in Political Science at Freie Universität Berlin since 2015. Before coming to Berlin, I worked as a journalist in South Korea. I’m interested in languages, politics, the environment, and music. I completed a training program in Korean language teaching and have taught Korean to many students. I also participated in a Korean percussion group for several years. From time to time, we can also explore traditional Korean musical instruments.
