Creating with our hands drives us! The use of different materials and techniques is learnt at our school and reflects an important constant of our profile. Art lessons take place throughout Sekundarstufe 1. The basics of design are taught cumulatively and are deepened and professionalised in the elective courses and in Sekundarstufe 2.
Our team has many years of practical experience in the studio and workshop area and the imaginative ideas can be realised in the newly renovated specialist rooms. Established and popular components of our teaching include canvas painting, the ceramics workshop, photography and filming, digital image processing, various printing techniques, woodworking, upcycling, bookbinding, calligraphy and much more.
Cultural techniques such as tailoring, knotting and knitting also find their way into various projects, whether in classical or experimental form. Viewing pictures of our own works and examples from art history is gradually developed and is also firmly anchored with the help of various methods (see RLP).
We also regularly work together with other subjects and with institutions outside the school (UdK, c/o Berlin etc.).
