‘Without mathematics, our world remains a mystery.’
- Prof Dr Albert Beutelspacher

In math, abstract structures and patterns are investigated. Students are taught to discover them, extrapolate from them and create connections between them - forming the basis for structured thinking.

Mathematics is taught in all grades and is one of the core subjects. It must be taken in Year 11 and 12 and the achieved grades are included in the Abitur grade.
