The complexity of our modern world stems from the diverse interrelationships that exist between politics, the economy and culture and that characterise our societies as a whole. This complexity cannot be understood solely from our own everyday experiences. The central task of politics lessons is to enable our pupils to analyse and assess political, economic and social issues, conflicts and interdependencies. For us, however, political education does not stop at analysing and assessing politics, but aims to enable our pupils to actively participate in political decision-making processes.
In politics lessons, we therefore focus on thinking about how we can act politically, which is strengthened by methods such as pro-contra debates, panel discussions or the simulation of talk shows.
PW- Course at work
Central aspects of our teaching and learning are excursions and work with partners outside school. If you look in the column on the left you will see examples of these projects.
