All grades receive the opportunity to take part in excursions and projects, such as:

• visiting the Waldhaus Blankenfelde
• taking part in the workshops offered by the Berlin universities to carry out laboratory investigations
• taking part in the opportunity to work in laboratories offered by other institutions e.g. Molecular Biology and Neurobiology labs at the Max-Delbrück Zentrum
• taking part in seminars and debates
• participation in environmental projects, such as planting trees in Basdorf
• setting up a website looking at environmental issues in and around Berlin and Brandenburg 
• participation in the Faire Schule Project from EPIZ
• visiting scientific events and exhibitions
