Geography in the SESB

Geography at Schiller-Gymnasium is taught once a week in grades 7,8 and 10. In 9th grade, students have a different set-up of lessons in geography. Altogether, geography takes up 3 lessons on the timetable. One lesson a week is taught to the class as a whole. For the other lesson(s), the class is divided into two smaller groups, each having one lesson. This makes learning and working more individual as there is a smaller group and more detailed lessons and methods can be taught and trained. Students can choose to take geography as a grundkurs in the Oberstufe, which can also be included in the Abitur as an oral exam or Präsentationsprüfung.
