Das Fach Geografie ist multiperspektivisch, lebensnah, aktuell, vielfältig in seinen Themenbereichen.  Ziel des Geografieunterrichts ist ein vertieftes Verständnis räumlicher Zusammenhänge in der Welt und der Erwerb einer raumbezogenen Handlungskompetenz. Um den Unterricht möglichst lebensnah und praktisch zu gestalten, wird auf die Durchführung von Exkursionen und den Besuch außerschulischer Lernorte großen Wert gelegt.

The subject Geography is multiperspective, closely related to life, up-to-date and diverse in its topics. The aim of Geography lessons is an in-depth understanding of the spatial interaction in the world and to acquire the necessary geographical skills. Excursions and field trips are seen as wonderful opportunities in making the lessons as close to life as possible and to experiencing Geography in action.
