History is taught at Schiller-Gymnasium in years 7 and 9 for two periods each semester and in years 8 and 10 for two periods throughout.

In addition, the social sciences department offers the elective courses Global History/Global Politics, The Middle East and Economics in year 10.

At upper secondary level, history is generally offered as a foundation course (3 hours per week) and an advanced course (5 hours per week).
