Teaching

Our extensive collection offers the possibilities for classical as well as computer supported experimenting using digital measuring systems. The insight is gained best by first hand experiment done by the students themselves. Preparing the experiments' protocolls and creating posters or presentations on specific topics train the communication in the subject terminology.

Lessons are taught in the physics' auditorium and in well equipped experiment rooms.

After the interdisciplinary 'nature Science course' (NaWi) in Year 7, the regular physics lessons start for all students in Year 8.

In Year 10 the students have the option to elect the additional course "Experimentieren und Mathematik" ('experimenting and math'), which dives deeper into selected research methods of physics.

In the optional course 'astronomy', inerested students of Year 11 are studying in detail astronomical topics.
